Introduction of WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
The popularity of walking pads has increased due to the epidemic since people are able to work at home and have avoided going to an overcrowded gym. They require less space than traditional treadmills and can be tucked under a desk that is standing and allow you to get a few steps in while working. While they might lack the latest features, like fitness programs or the ability to tilt the treadmill, they make up in cost, with compact treadmills that cost thousands (not thousand) to hundreds of dollars.
The WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill from Kingsmith is cheaper than the company’s, the WalkingPad A1Pro one, which we’ve previously looked at. The P1 treadmill does not have an LCD as well as a remote that can be difficult to use it’s motor less powerful and more loud. The cost difference is sufficient to be worth considering.

When we used the WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill we found that it was quiet, and also sized perfect for use under desks or for walking through central areas of your room.
It’s best to start slow around 2.5km per hour, and then run for 1 km before moving to“Automatic” mode. Once activated it accelerates and slows down depending on your place in the track.
Walking along between the two treadmills helps keep things in a steady, even manner however moving towards the front will increase speed. Also, allowing yourself to move backwards and walk towards the rear of the compact treadmill will slow the belt. This is a convenient method to control your devices without having to reach for the remote or an app.
Unboxing and Setup WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
In the WalkingPad A1Pro Review, It’s not an ideal idea to seek assistance to transport the P1 foldable treadmill around the house and then take it out of the box and place it where you’ll utilize it. Like many other large electronic devices such as this one WalkingPad P1 treadmill comes with a relatively small battery (six feet) which is why you’ll have to locate a place near the electrical outlets.
Due to the size of the device, I would suggest an extensive scouting of your home or apartment, so that you are aware of where you would like to put it prior to when it arrives. This will reduce the need for the unnecessary move from one place to the next and is an exercise in itself. This WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill folds up and comes with two wheels on the front to let to keep the device in place on a bookcase or couch but given its weight I left it exactly where it was.
First Impressions and Using the WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
After putting it together and trying it out, What do I think about the WalkPad P1 treadmill
Compact And Practical Design: The treadmill’s folding design isn’t just for show it’s lightweight and easily stored in smaller areas. It can be easily tucked away beneath my mattress or even in an open closet, which is a big advantage if you’re running out of space. The process of folding it up and starting is a matter of just a few seconds. This is ideal for quick walks.
A quiet and smooth operation: Noise is an issue with conventional treadmills, however this WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill operates with minimal noise. It’s quiet enough to use without disturbing my family members or pets. My rabbits have no issues.
Easy Control: The speed settings can be easily altered to change from a leisurely stroll to a vigorous speed. The P1 treadmill can be controlled using either a remote or KS Fit app, which allows you to monitor your progress and create goals. This helps you keep active even during other activities such as catching in on your emails and brainstorming ideas for blog posts.
Changes I’ve Noticed in My Routine after using WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
The addition of the WalkingPad P1 foldable walking treadmill into my daily routine makes moving much simpler, without me having to make time for an exercise routine. This is how it has changed things around:
Greater Energy: The act of sitting at an office all day is exhausting, however an hour of walking on the treadmill increases my energy. I can return to work with a clearer mind and a sharper focus. If efficiency is your goal this feature could be of great help.
Reduced Sedentary Time: A lot of sitting causes a lot of stress, and I am able to effortlessly move around without thinking. I can achieve my fitness goals and am still able to stay connected to work.
Life Balance and Work: The P1 foldable walking treadmill has allowed me to find a balance that is more satisfying and make fitness an easy aspect of my routine without changing my work schedule.
Design and use of WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
There are three main distinctions among The WalkingPad P1 and the A1Pro. The first one is that the more affordable P1 isn’t equipped with an LCD. In addition, to compensate for this the remote is bigger and has a smaller display. Thirdly, the motor has 1 HP as opposed to 1.25 HP. While it’s not as loud as the A1Pro however, I didn’t feel there was any difference in performance.
Lack of a display comes with advantages and disadvantages. Displays are a standard option on all treadmills and on the majority of walking pads. If you’re accustomed to looking at a screen in order to check your speed, distance and time and distance, then this WalkingPad P1 treadmill may not meet your expectations.
If you’re using the WalkingPad P1 foldable walking treadmill solely to take an extra few steps during the working day or after your kids have gone to the bed, then there’s a good chance that you’re not too concerned about your fitness stats. It was that way for me, and I didn’t have to miss the display on my feet.
Like the A1Pro model, you must walk 1km at 2.5 km/hour in order to “unlock” faster speeds as and automatic mode. So prepare for a slow, sluggish walk to start things off. It’s a great opportunity to catch up on social media, emails or the program you’re watching.
WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill: App
KS Fit, Kingsmith’s app to manage their treadmills and walking pad and smart dumbbells, does not find much acclaim on the Google Play store. The app’s score is 1.4 and a number of reviewers have reported the following: KS Fit not only doesn’t work well with Google Fit, but also, but it has issues connecting to their Kingsmith devices too.
Kingsmith has released an updated version of the KS Fit application (v3.9.5) on December. 10th, and based on my experience, it appears to have cured some of the issues with synchronization. When using the WalkingPad P1, the app was able to sync quickly and saved every walk, which included the time I took two walks in one go due to the fact that the belt stopped working, when I accidentally hit Stop on the control twice.
The App is able to work to allow you to begin and stop the belt. KS Fit will also run in the background of your phone when your WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill is running, which means you can shut down the app and open different apps while walking. It’s also not that big of a battery drainer, even on older phones such as mine, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Why Walking Indoors Makes Sense/WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill
I’m a sucker for outdoor adventures and discovering new places however, daily outdoor walks aren’t always practical. Here’s why:
Weather Conditions: The fact, that I live in Canada means that the weather could vary from sunny to heavy snow or even rain and make a walk outside less enjoyable. The WalkingPad P1 foldable treadmill lets me can take a walk inside, regardless of the conditions outside.
Pet care: When you are an owner of pets, the smallest outings can be an event. My two rabbits require constant treatment and attention, therefore going away for long periods of time is a challenge. The WalkingPad P1 walking folding treadmill allows me to exercise while keeping the rabbits in check, thus ensuring that I’m not losing the ability to move or provide care.
Flexible Multitasking: One of the biggest WalkingPad P1’s advantages is its ability to be active without disrupting other activities of my day. I can go for a walk while watching the latest show or participating in a virtual gathering or even working in my computer. The treadmill’s compact and stable design allow me to incorporate moving into my daily routine a breeze.

Potential Flaws of WalkingPad P1 Foldable Treadmill Review
1- In our testing, we observed that the belt was jerking at times when we adjusted the treadmill’s speed. Therefore, it’s important to stabilize yourself prior to reducing or increasing the speed.
2- The foldable treadmill doesn’t work with third-party applications, so you won’t be able keep track of your fitness stats with apps such as Apple Health.

I’ve been really enjoying using this WalkingPad P1 in the office. Although I don’t use it frequently as much as I want to, I’m happy that it can make sitting at work more pleasant.
When folded up and put in a corner, it does take up quite a bit of space, however it is able to roll easily and otherwise slip underneath a bed or desk. If it were at home, and not at the office, it’s smaller and less “bulky“.
I appreciate the fact that it’s quiet WalkingPad P1 is and how easy it is to begin. It’s a great alternative to a treadmill, and is a great option to add some energy to an otherwise dull working day.
Limited speed and intensity: The speed range of most running pads ranges from 0.5 millimeters to 4.0 percent, which some people may find difficult.
Some basic features: When shopping for a pad to walk on. You'll find that many do not have features that are advanced, such as heart rate monitors.
If you're looking to exercise regularly, without turning your living space into a gym, the treadmill that folds is definitely worth a look. For the majority of people who have limited space and the possibility of putting the treadmill away after every workout, is far superior to the minor issues which come with a compact design.
Walking pads are smaller and light, designed for moderate walking. The treadmills are larger and heavier and come with a variety of features. They also have the ability to perform more vigorous exercises like running. The decision of which is best for you is based on your preferences and needs.
The ideal length of time depends upon your level of fitness goals and the design of your pad. For newbies, starting with a 15-30 minute session is recommended to build stamina, and enable your body adjust. As you gain fitness and stronger, your ability to increase your sessions to 45-60 mins or longer.
