It was removed, but I was running at an incline of 1, which would cause the sound to return within a couple of seconds of returning to the level. After a couple of days of this and the fear that I would require support, the sound went away, but it hasn't returned. It was evident that it was located at the point where the treadmill was resting at the end of its stop, on the other side, and there was a minimal movement that caused this.
