Introduction
A high-end treadmill caught my attention some time ago because of its flashy subscription program and runner-centric design. I’m not naming this treadmill (rhymes with “Beloton”), but if you’re in search of an imitation of a premium treadmill at a fraction of the price, the Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is a good choice and much more. However, I do not intend to reduce it to a knockoff. 7.0 AT Treadmill Horizon is merely an imitation because it’s a beast of its own.
The Horizon Treadmill 7.0 AT is an amazing treadmill. It’s a good choice when a serious runner exercises outdoors, a regular trainer for the dedicated person, and for a new beginner runner who is looking to purchase the first time on a treadmill. Read on to find out what you can expect from the Horizon Fitness 7.0 AT Treadmill from someone (me) who has used it extensively.

Our Strava and Apple Health Accounts Are Full of Treadmill Activities
We put on many miles on the treadmills that we test. Contrary to some review sites, we try these products in real time and in person. The best part about working out working is that we can interact with treadmills the same way you would! This means that we understand the content of our training as well as the performance and the design and performance of the treadmill, from a real point of view.
Each treadmill is put through several tests to make sure that our evaluations of each treadmill’s performance are correct and current.
Who The Horizon 7.0 AT Is Best For:

- An Active Household: If more than one person lives in your household, the Horizon 7.0 AT treadmill will be a wonderful upgrade over the Horizon Go Series to support further training.
- Subscribers and non-subscribers: Horizon treadmill 7.0 AT isn’t designed for any particular application or training system. Instead, it utilizes FTMS as well as Bluetooth to connect with a variety of third-party apps, completely free!
- Walkers: Horizon 7.0 AT Folding treadmill is durable and comfortable, with great features on the console. Most walking treadmills don’t have these benefits.

Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Dimensions/Storability
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is as small as we’d suggest for the majority of people to run. It’s still pretty substantial in size, with its 75″ L x 35″ W and the 67″ H. It folds up, though, and shortens the dimensions to 44″ long. Therefore, if you need an exercise machine that folds up when you’re done, this is an excellent choice.
The 7.0 AT Treadmill Horizon is quite large in terms of size and weight, but it is relatively easy to fold up and move when you consider that it weighs 277 pounds. When folded, you tilt the device backwards to make it easier to move. The wheels are quite tiny, which makes it more difficult to navigate our thick mats for exercise and possibly dense carpeting. It’s not difficult to walk a few feet between places, but
It has a nice low step-up to a height of 9.5″ starting from floor level to side rails. When the incline is fully inclined, the deck measures 15″ high. I suggest adding this height on top of your height to make certain you have a high enough ceiling for the Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill. Since the majority of ceilings are 9 feet tall, you don’t have to worry about having a ceiling high enough to be able to run this treadmill.
Onboard Workouts & Apps
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is easy to use and is one of the few treadmills that do not include a touchscreen or subscription training material available to stream directly from the treadmill. If you’re in search of treadmills that offer subscription-based content, we’ve got an extensive list of recommended treadmills. If you’re looking to get a traditional fitness experience, then it’s the 7.0 AT is the one for you.
It is able to connect to other devices, third-party applications, and heart rate monitoring. We’ve had some minor issues regarding connectivity; however, here’s what you can expect from the Horizon AT 7.0 Treadmill.
Build Quality
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is reasonably priced for the value it provides. The lifetime frame and motor warranty are a good sign for the long-term durability of the treadmill; there are some compromises to build a treadmill at this price. The huge console made of plastic is a prime example of a concession. It’s okay, however, you won’t get the same elegance and sophistication as treadmills three, four, and more than the cost.
I’m impressed by Horizon’s 7.0 AT and cannot wait to talk about the reasons. The Horizon brand is able to maximize its treadmill features to match its prices and provide the versatility to train you want. Horizon AT 7.0 Treadmill does that well.
Console/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
Horizon treadmill consoles aren’t the most stylish. They’re noisy and made of plastic; however, they’re extremely useful. The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill will not integrate into the living space like other high-end treadmills, but it’s well worth the cost you save!
The console’s functionality wowed me. There are dials known as QuickDial controls that allow you to alter the speed and the incline. While I may occasionally use these during my runs, they are functional and simple to use. Since they are located in my arms’ paths, they are simple to adjust during exercise, and that makes them much easier to punch. But I haven’t shifted the dials in error.
There are interval keys that can be programmed under either dial. Hold each key for three seconds to adjust the speed and incline setting of the moment. When you press it later on in your exercise, it will be adjusted back to the point it was at when you made it. The keys are separate, which means you can program them to be used at two different intervals.
Speed and incline buttons for quick adjustment are under the cups. These buttons let you switch between speed and distance quickly if you do not need to use those dials for scrolling.
There are also controls located in the middle of the console that can be used to set an exercise program, launching or stopping the treadmill, as well as controlling the media. The remaining two buttons control the fan as well as Bluetooth.

Frame/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Reviews
Steel is the most popular material for strong treadmill frames. Its Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill stainless steel frame is perfect for running, walking, and training on an inclined slope. The studio isn’t without spots where the flooring is uneven. I didn’t notice until I bent the treadmill and saw the difference, which is a testament to how solid this treadmill is. A majority of cardio machines will be moving back and forth even when they are flat.
A weight capacity of 325 lbs is more than the industry norm of 300 pounds. The Horizon Treadmill 7.0 AT feels solid enough. The frame’s thickness and deck stability are in line with the degree of support. Motors are another aspect we take a look at to confirm the treadmill’s capacity to carry weight, and it appears great!

Motor
What is it about this treadmill that makes it great? It comes with a lifetime warranty, which I’m happy to observe! It has 3.0 HP, which is the kind of power we look for in running treadmills. Horsepower isn’t the only way to tell the story; however, there are other indicators. The motor is very fast. We synchronized the adjustment from 1 to 12 mph, and the result was 18 seconds. The adjustment of the incline from zero to 15 percent took 13 minutes.
I also like the quietness of this Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill motor. I measured the noise between 48 and 65 decibels. When we measure these levels, it is clear that we don’t have any runners or walkers on the treadmill, as the noise level of a foot varies from person to person.
These tests show that Horizon AT 7.0 Treadmill is quieter than the average dishwasher. Horizon Treadmill 7.0 AT is quieter than the typical dishwasher, and nearly as loud as a printer or dryer.

Deck/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
A running surface with cushioning will make a significant difference to your training. Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill comes with 3-Zone Variable cushioning that is able to meet your biomechanical requirements during running. I had the pleasure of getting close to the three different kinds of shocks. I can confirm that they employ different densities and durometers to deliver what Horizon promises.
What’s that promise? A soft landing zone, moderate transition zones, and a firm push-off area.
The running area is the size of 20″ x 60″, which gives you ample space to reach the speed limit of 12 mph. The Horizon 7.4 AT Treadmill and the 7.8 AT come with a larger deck (22″) for those who require a bit more space. The height of the step-up will be 9.5″ to the foot rails and just under 9″ to the belt.
Incline/Decline/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Reviews
The incline range is from 0 to 15 percent. However, Horizon does not offer the option of lowering its treadmills. However, a 15 percent incline rate is more than the average of the industry, which is why we are happy with the treadmill. The incline adjustment is quick and smooth, which is perfect for hill intervals or HIIT. An incline of 15% is ideal for an intensive workout, regardless of whether you’re running or walking.
Folding/Storage/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill is a treadmill that folds up to create an extremely compact storage size. The dimensions when folded include 75″ x 35″ x 67″, and the folded dimensions are 44″ x 35″ x 68″. It weighs 277lbs, and isn’t difficult to move. I had no difficulty moving the treadmill by myself. It’s all you need to do is place the treadmill on its wheels for transport and then move it around.
The deck can reach an incline maximum of 15″. We recommend giving yourself an additional 6″ of room so that you have enough space for running vertically. This means that you’ll require approximately 21″ more than the height of the tallest treadmill user in your household to accommodate the full incline range of the 7.0 AT. For a 6′ runner, this would be a 7’10” ceiling.

Screen/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
You can either be happy or depressed because the Horizon 7.0 AT Studio Series Treadmill does not feature touchscreen displays. The good thing is that you don’t have to commit to the cost of a subscription. It’s the only component that isn’t broken and also reduces the cost. The downside: you’ll need to bring your own device to stream video-based entertainment and training, if you’d like it, and the training apps might not work with your device as seamlessly.
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill features a 7.25″ large high-contrast LCD and four LED windows that are high-contrast. You’ll be able to view all of your data on the LCD screen; however, if the screen is obscured by a tablet placed on the rack that holds tablets, you’ll be able to get the most vital data within the windows. The information you see comprises speed, slope times, distance, calories, and heart rate.
The screen and windows are bright and high-contrast, as they say, which means they are easy to spot in dim or bright lighting.
Bluetooth/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
As we said, Bluetooth allows you to connect your tablet or phone to your speakers and listen to music in a quiet way. Bluetooth also lets you connect a heart-rate monitor. The latest 7.0 AT Horizon Treadmill is specifically designed to offer the Apple Gym Kit and improved connectivity to Samsung Galaxy watches.
Connecting a heart monitor of a different type isn’t easy because you need to switch the console to the only mode for heart rate monitoring. I’ve been able to set the treadmill to this mode when I switch the treadmill on. It is not possible to pair your smartphone to the treadmill when it is in this mode. If I’m using a training app, I generally connect my heart rate monitor with the app rather than the treadmill.
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill integrates with third-party FTMS applications via Bluetooth to provide additional options for training. I’ll go into more detail about this later.
Performance/Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill Review
The model I tested of Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill had very little change from the model I tried. However, I was amazed by how much I loved running on the treadmill. I’ve been focusing on other brands, but returning to the Horizon Fitness Treadmill 7.0 AT made me think of how great this treadmill is.
The cushioning is extremely comfortable for a budget treadmill. I would highly recommend it to those looking for a low-cost alternative to NordicTrack treadmills. It’s also an excellent NordicTrack alternative for those who don’t need the expense of an iFIT subscription.
It is hard to run fast on any treadmill. Whatever, I love a treadmill, I’m always anxious to race fast, the 7.0 AT’s speedy pace and incline adjuster help ease my anxiety. The QuickDials are simple to access and can bring the speed down fast, which gives me more security during HIIT training. You don’t need to be exact when you use these dials. This is a part of the struggle I face when sprinting and pressing buttons.
The Horizon 7.0 AT is a fantastic treadmill for intermediate to beginner runners. If you are able to run as much as 30 miles a week, I think this treadmill could be an ideal option. If you’re training for a marathon, and you are running significantly more miles, I would suggest looking into a Horizon 7.8 AT Treadmill, particularly when you train mostly indoors.
Warranty
The sturdy construction is covered with a lifetime frame warranty and motor warranties, along with three years of warranty on parts and one year of labor. Horizon has outstanding warranty coverage. The lifetime warranty helps build confidence in the quality of the construction.
A handy person could put the project together on their own, but having two helpers helps make the whole process easier.
Should You Buy the Horizon 7.0 AT?
If you’re still not convinced by this review, you’ll soon know you know that Horizon 7.0 AT is an excellent treadmill. I’m saying it’s. It’s constructed with high-end materials with a high-powered, responsive, and quiet motor. It is slim, yet it can handle any stride duration.
If you’re in search of an affordable treadmill that is small enough for running, easy to fold down, and easy to operate, then you must take a look at the 7.0. At our facility, you can find an array of treadmills with different costs as well. The 7.0 AT is one of our top choices to work on, including some of the top models.
It’s not as suited to many uses as Horizon’s more expensive treadmills. However, the Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill was able to hold its own during our tests. It’s sturdy, and it is comfortable for running on. Additionally, it does not have subscription-based training content behind a paywall that prevents access to certain features, as do many treadmills today with touchscreens.
You can also connect training apps such as Peloton and Zwift on your mobile device. You can also monitor your heart rate while running with the chest strap included or a watch that is compatible, like Apple, as well as Galaxy Watches.
Why You Should Trust Us/walking treadmill reviews

Conclusion:
The most recent updates of the Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill are fairly small, and we’re grateful for this. I believe that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The Horizon Treadmill 7.0 AT was and remains a great value treadmill to run on. Horizon is among those brands which hasn’t actually increased their prices in line with inflation.
Additionally, it’s small but large enough to accommodate runners of all levels and capabilities. Its motor is strong, fast to adjust, and a bit quieter than the earlier version, which we thought impossible. If space, noise, and price are a major concern for you, then the 7.0 AT Treadmill Horizon ticks all of these boxes and more.
I was unaware that I was not connecting to a variety of exercise equipment till I observed my colleagues effortlessly connecting their trackers for fitness to the majority of the equipment within our facility. All I need to do is pull over my older Gen 3 Apple Watch to the Gymkit technology in the 7.0 AT, and I’m connected and ready to go.
Overall, the Horizon 7.0 AT Folding Treadmill is one of our top choices for anyone looking for an easy and compact treadmill for indoor use. It’s a great treadmill that has very few issues, and we’ll continue for a chance to avoid them as well as we have.
The Horizon 7.0 AT has been made to be used for running as part of the Horizon studio series. The 7.0 AT features the 3.0 HP motor, a 0 to 15 percent incline range, and a large running deck, as well as a speed between 0 and 12 mph. It's a great option for runners who train regularly or require a backup option for their regular outdoor activities.
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill has a speed range that ranges from 0 to 12 miles per hour. The control of the roller dial makes this Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill an easy treadmill to operate and can be adjusted at a moment's notice.
The Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill supports a maximum user weight of 325lbs.
If Horizon will be "better" than NordicTrack depends entirely on your preferences for training . Horizon is better for subscription-free, "bring-your-own-device" workouts and offers an industry-leading warranty. NordicTrack is the best choice in delivering immersive, trainer-led studio classes as well as an interactive training program that includes incline and decline.
ProForm and Horizon are two top treadmill brands. However, they cater to distinct runners. Select ProForm to experience interactive, iFIT-driven instruction equipped with touchscreens. Choose Horizon for BYOD (bring-your-own-device) flexibility, superior warranties, and robust Bluetooth connectivity that supports apps like Peloton and Zwift
